Over the next few months I am going to attempt to start my own magazine. It is still in the preliminary stages of ideation, but roughly, it will be an independent, conscious, free, local zine that will feature Twin Cities artists, musicians, writers, poets and anything in between. I'll have a full mission statement soon.
I want to do this to support all of you! The more people who participate, the more successful the magazine will be, and the more exposure everyone featured in it will receive. Sounds lovely, yes? Ah, community is a beautiful thing.
What I'm looking for right now is anyone who would be interested in taking part in this project. If you have a good idea for your own column (i.e. Industry Minne-zine's "Hate by Nate" where he just rants about things he hates, or City Pages "Savage Love") I'd love to hear about it. Any sort of writings or rantings on current social and political issues, album reviews, poetry, short stories, anything at all. Photography, art design, whatever. Make yourself heard.
